In circa 2010, Citrix purchased EMS Cortex as part of their cloud journey, helping service providers offer Desktops and applications as a Service.
Time passed, the direction and market changed and CPSM was no longer a priority, and end of life was announced for January 2019.
We, (Colin and Daniel, Previous CEO and Sales Manager at EMS-Cortex) had been working for MSP’s since leaving Citrix and know there is still opportunity and demand for delegated provisioning, self service and automation tools.
So we are happy to announce that we have acquired the rights to sell, license, support and develop CPSM into the future.
So what now?
We already have a support team stood up, and are standing up our development team. Our priority right now is to touch base with any CSP’s using CPSM and transition them from Citrix to Automate 101. If this is you please contact us @ sales@automate101.com or at www.getatria.com/contact/
The Future
The MSP world has continued to evolve since CPSM ceased development. The Hosted Exchange world is moving to Office 365, Azure Active Directory has taken off, there are new SaaS Applications available and Backup as a Service is huge.
Our initial plans are to stabilize existing customers, and fix the base platform first. In the second half of 2019 we plan to do our first release with Office 365 enhancements including license management, Teams integration (with voice fingers crossed), and Azure Active Directory support.
We will also be planning to do some hygiene as well – reducing AD Controllers needed for Office 365 Sync, Including support for latest versions of Software like Exchange 2019 and SharePoint 2019.
But we know that there is a lot more we could be doing, so we’re planning in February and march to gather plans and feedback from all the CPSM user base and flesh out what needs to be done.
Longer term things will evolve – CPSM will become cloud based, support a broader range of services and include more self service and workflow/automation.
Thank You
Thanks to Citrix for transferring the IP, so we can keep the dream alive. Thank you to all the partners out there still using CPSM and signing up. We are excited about the future and the journey we are going to go on together.
Daniel, Colin and the A101 Team
