Recent Microsoft NCE News
Microsoft Announced on 27th June – With the roll out of the Microsoft New Commerce Experience (Microsoft NCE), Auto-renew of legacy CSP subscriptions was set to expire on 11th July 2022. Microsoft have just walked back on this – legacy CSP subscriptions will continue to renew on the old platform for an indefinite time.
If you’re a Direct Microsoft CSP – What does this mean to you ?
The Good:
- You have more time to move your legacy CSP subscriptions over to NCE.
- Things wont break for your customers on 11th July if you haven’t moved their subscriptions.
- You will be able to reduce these subscriptions at any time without penalty.
- Incentives will continue to be paid until end of this year
The slightly less good:
- No incentives will be paid on legacy subscriptions from 1 Jan 2023
- Legacy CSP Subscriptions will renew at current prices.
- Running two systems makes billing and reconciliation more complex for you and your customers.
Lets face it CSPs, You’ll still need to move Legacy CSP Subscriptions to NCE!!
