CPSM Returns Home

In circa 2010, Citrix purchased EMS Cortex as part of their cloud strategy—helping service providers offer Desktops and Applications as a Service.

Over time, Citrix’s direction and market focus shifted, and CPSM was no longer prioritized. End-of-life was officially announced for January 2019.

We—Colin and Daniel, former CEO and Sales Manager at EMS Cortex—have remained active in the MSP world. We’ve seen ongoing demand for delegated provisioning, self-service, and automation tools.

So today, we’re happy to announce:

We’ve acquired the rights to sell, license, support, and develop CPSM going forward.

✅ So What Now?

We’ve already set up a support team, and our development team is on the way. Our top priority is reaching out to CSPs still using CPSM and transitioning them from Citrix to Automate 101.

🚀 The Future

The MSP world has evolved significantly since CPSM’s last development cycle:

  • Hosted Exchange is moving to Office 365
  • Azure Active Directory is mainstream
  • SaaS is booming
  • Backup as a Service is huge

Our initial plan is to:

  • Stabilize the base platform
  • Support existing customers

In late 2019, we aim to release enhancements including:

  • Office 365 license management
  • Teams integration (fingers crossed for voice)
  • Azure AD support

We’re also planning technical hygiene improvements like:

  • Reducing AD controllers needed for Office 365 sync
  • Supporting newer software versions (Exchange 2019, SharePoint 2019)

📣 Community-Driven Development

In February and March, we’ll gather feedback from current CPSM users to help shape the roadmap.

Long term, CPSM will evolve:

  • Move to a cloud-based model
  • Broaden service support
  • Expand self-service and automation capabilities

🙏 Thank You

Big thanks to Citrix for transferring the IP so we can keep the dream alive.

And thank you to all partners still using and supporting CPSM—we’re excited about this new chapter and look forward to building something amazing together.
