Wow Wow Wow! Hold up, why are you releasing so many frequent updates?

I just updated! I can’t keep up!

Some of you may have noticed, we’ve changed our release approach with Atria V15
.

We are now frequently releasing updates, which is when we have felt there are enough features or improvements to warrant a release. This means that we are continually deploying features and fixes without having to wait for a major release. This that now we release smaller bite size updates, with fixes that don’t have to wait for the next major release or hot-fix.

For larger features and improvements, we are now releasing in an iterative model. For example, we are releasing our new Microsoft New Commerce Experience feature in phases, with fixes coming frequently, instead of waiting for this to be developed and released. We want to get features in your hands as soon as possible, with any feedback as needed, for us to be able to deliver a better product to you and for it to work better for you!

So – How do you know when an update is coming?

It’s likely best for you to contact our team. We can let you know when we expect our next release to occur, or if there are any features or fixes that are beneficial to you and your business. We are looking at ways to improve this communication model to you if an update was coming, but at this stage, just reach out to our friendly support team.

This doesn’t mean that you need to keep up with every single release and update every time we release an update. You won’t fall too far behind! We’d recommend subscribing to our new release notes – This will keep you in the loop with what’s being released – Please see the release notes on our website here – https://getatria.com/release-notes/

For customers already on V15, we’ve added a ‘What’s New’ function within the UI. This is only shown to Service Provider Administrators, and can be managed by the usual Security roles, so this won’t be shown to your customers.

A few things we would like you to know.

  1. We also understand that the upgrade process is quite manual.
  2. We are also currently working on simplifying the upgrade process to be one or two commands instead of working out what needs updating where.
  3. We are hoping to be able to share this with you in the coming weeks.

If you’ve got any questions about this new process – Please get in contact with our friendly support team and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have on our frequent updates or any other inquires.
